about me

As an emerging contemporary artist, my work is naturally expressive, yet also self-deterministic as I am predominantly self-taught.

My work focuses on the human condition. Thematically, I am currently investigating difference and diversity, liminality and the deconstruction of social / personal identities through my art-practice based research.

I am particularly interested in how portraiture and figuration can create visual narratives to examine the boundaries and tensions that exist between the ‘inner self’ and the ‘other’.

I take inspiration from many sources including outsider's art, and the early abstract expressionist' use of form, line and colour to convey meaning.
